My teaching philosophy is this:
Every student deserves the opportunity to take their playing as far as they are capable of doing so.
In practice, this means imbuing the student with a love for the instrument and for music as a whole.
All students receive a Free Trial Lesson. If you already play some guitar, it helps to prepare something that shows your current abilities. This will help me evaluate your playing's current strengths and weaknesses, so we can plot out a plan based on your goals to bring out the best in your playing.
Cost: from $25 per half hour
Lessons cost just $50 per hour for regular students who purchase 10 lessons in advance. For students just looking for an occassional lesson, the casual rate of $70 applies.

During my time at the conservatorium, I was often called upon to direct workshop or ensemble activities when Julian Byzantine was away. Since finishing at university I have drawn upon my experience leading such groups as the Brisbane Guitar Quartet, to help musicians bring the detail and flair needed to make a classical ensemble succeed.
